Removable dentures
Removable partial prostheses are designed for patients who have few teeth on the lower or upper dentition. Removable prosthetics is any kind of dental prosthesis, which can be extracted from the oral cavity independently.
Partial removable dentures consist of artificial teeth and a basis, which has a pale pink color, like the gums. Depending on your needs and desires, you can choose one of several proposed types of removable denture. A partial prosthesis can have a metal frame and retaining elements that connect to your teeth, or they can have other connecting fasteners that look more natural.
Complete removable dentures are designed to replace all teeth on one of the jaws. Full prostheses are worn by patients who do not have all the teeth on the upper or lower jaw, or, more often, on both jaws. They are used in the case when all teeth are missing on the jaw or there are insufficiently strong teeth, or are not positioned well enough to support the partial prosthesis.
Complete removable dentures on the upper jaw are often fixed well and do not need to use additional fixation facilities, but complete removable dentures on the lower jaw are kept worse. On the upper jaw prostheses are held better due to the suction function of the sky and a well expressed alveolar process. The lower dentures are fixed differently. Your tongue, cheeks and lips, performing their functions, unfortunately, often knock out the lower denture. In addition, the alveolar process is usually much smaller than on the upper jaw, which prevents the prosthesis from fixing as well.
